Aeon's Adventure: Distorted Time

A Isometric Game

 

"Aeon's Adventure: Distorted Time" is an isometric game inspired by Tunic. Time has been frozen, and forgotten enemies have returned. You must find the clock's crystals to restore time.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

  • 3 Level Designers

  • 4 Graphic Designers

  • 5 Game Programmers

Production time:

  • 8 weeks half-speed

  • Unity

  • TGE (engine developed by TGA)

My Contribution:

  • Level Designing the tutorial/first level.

  • Level Propping / Level Art for two levels

  • Member in Story task force

  • Member of Environment task force

REFLECTION

Switching to a top-down game was a big leap, but it brought some thrilling creative chances. Crafting detailed environments and getting the hang of fresh gameplay mechanics really pushed me out of my comfort zone. Plus, teaming up on the story side let me dive deep into narrative development, adding some serious depth to the game. Even though it was tough at first, tackling a top-down game was super satisfying in the end, and it definitely leveled up my skills as a designer and collaborator.
